Vince was born in 1952 at Alice Springs, his Mother June came from the Luritcha tribe and his father Syd the Arunda, from Mbarntua (Alice Springs) proper.  Vince has had a varied work live from stockman, soldier, rodeo clown to political activist, more recently he has developed skill in the expression of his traditional country working primarily in the medium of ochres and canvas.
